The bridal bouquet : white roses, white spray roses, white peonies, and white lilacs. Bupleurum and bay leaf added hints of green and spice to offset the sweet scent of the flowers.
The theme of the wedding was salt and pepper. The couple had come together in culinary school and enjoy all things cooking.
The centerpieces were round glass bowls planted with herbs and white flowers. I used basil, thyme, oregano, sweet potato vine, and a variety of white flowers. The bowls were clear glass, so you could see the dirt (pepper) and I scattered white river rocks and white roses (salt) along the top of the centerpiece and along the tablecloth.
The bride and groom had a sweetheart table, so as to have small moments alone. I provided a low vase for the bride’s bouquet to act as their centerpiece, and scattered a few roses and bay leaves to dress up the table.
